What is Raspberry Pi Zero ?

          Raspberry Pi is a pocket friendly, credit card sized computer which was released in 2015 by pi foundation. The main aim of the pi foundation is to provide open source educational tool for low cost. raspberry Pi zero is one of the successful version by the by foundation due to its smaller size and greater functionality.

Let's have a look on the raspberry Pi zero

          Now when you see the photo of raspberry Pi zero your first look directly falls on the Black sheep present at the centre let me explain about it now.

It is on-board ARM single core CPU running at 700 megahertz and 512 MB RAM . The given RAM and other specifications help us to run some various open softwares like OpenOffice, Minecraft, python etc.

The processor used a is Broad Com BCM2835 SoC.

          Now the processing part is discussed so let us discuss about the memory part and other raspberry Pi input and output ports briefly.

Initially Raspberry Pi do not come along with memory we need to insert a memory card that is SD card for storing data and also for storing the softwares.

The most preferred size of memory card is 16 or 32GB.

Now let us discuss about the ports . It comes with a mini HDMI port, micro USB port and a power supply port.

Mini HDMI port

The board has a mini HDMI port to connect existing TV or monitor to provide 1080p video playback and audio output.

Micro USB port

The single micro USB port will help us to connect keyboard or to connect a Wi-Fi dongle to go wireless.

Micro USB power input

The body supported by a 5 volts power supply which can be provided by using an external adapter.

GPIO pins

Despite of the the size of Pi zero there is still space for 40 general purpose input / output pins. It is providing 3.3 volts or 5 volts of power.

Camera Port

A Pi camera can be attached to the raspberry Pi zero directly at the pins provided.


Software

NOOBS and Raspbian are the best softwares for a beginner and out of those two NOOBS is the best for a absolute beginner.

All about Compact Fluorescent Lamp circuit (CFL): The CFL is also known as compact fluorescent light, energy saving light, and compact fluorescent tube. Fig 1 shows the CFL lamp. Why CFL? Arduino UNO

Basics of Arduino UNO: Arduino UNO is nothing but microcontroller board based on ATmega328. The ATmega328 is single-chip microcontroller with Atmel. And the family is megaAVR. This board includes digital input/output pins, a power jack, analog input pins, a USB connection, an RST button, and an ICSP header. All about Peltier Module: Peltier modules are electronic devices designed for cooling object below ambient temperature. It can be used as temperature controller.  Fig 1 shows the peltier module. Resistor It is the passive circuit linear element which opposes the flow of current or electricity. INTERFACING OF ARDUINO WITH ULTRASONIC SENSOR In this session, ARDUINO interfacing with Ultrasonic Sensor is discussed. Ultrasonic Sensor is used to calculate the distances of the obstacle. It works on the principle of SONAR. Ultrasonic Sensor senses the distance of an object by sending the ultrasonic sound at 40,000 Hz, which travels through the air and if there is an object or obstacle on its path it will reflect or bounce back to the receiver of the module.         The common name of Ultrasonic Sensor is HC-SR04.         Operating Voltage of this sensor is +5V.         It can measure distance from 2cm to 80cm.         It contains 4 pins – VCC, Ground, Echo, Trigger. Trigger pin is the input pin and it sends the ultrasonic waves.
